At present, we have yet to identify any prenatal vitamins or supplements that consistently test as non-detect for key toxicants across all categories we monitor. This includes Lead, Mercury, Cadmium, and Arsenic. Please scroll down for the full laboratory report specific to this product.

As always, and perhaps more importantly, it is crucial to remember that all federal health agencies concur that there is no safe exposure level for Lead, especially for pregnant women and developing children.

  • Serving size does not mitigate risk: Toxicants like Lead, Cadmium, and Mercury are potent and dangerous regardless of quantity, emphasizing the importance of minimizing exposure.
  • Bioaccumulation matters: Heavy metals tend to accumulate in our bodies over time, which is especially concerning with regular, persistent exposure from daily use products.
  • Extended exposure risks: Using a product contaminated with unsafe levels of heavy metals daily over months—such as during pregnancy and postpartum—significantly increases health risks for both mother and child.
  • Consult healthcare professionals: We strongly advise pregnant individuals to discuss nutritional needs with their healthcare providers. Blood tests and assessments can determine if supplements are necessary or if dietary modifications are sufficient.
  • Whole foods vs. supplements: Whenever possible, obtaining nutrients through a balanced diet is preferable. Talk to your doctor about the viability of dietary interventions instead of supplements.
