“I was driving down Mackinac Trail in Upper Michigan heading towards Sault Sainte Marie when I could believe Amish skiing behind their horse & carriage.”
There is a small Amish community in Chippewa County, consisting of approximately 80 members. Horse-and-buggy skiing seems to be a popular pastime during the winter months among some Amish residents. Who can blame them? It’s a charming and inventive way to enjoy the snow.
