A Personal Update and Our Commitment to Safer Consumer Products

Today, I want to share some important updates regarding our ongoing efforts to identify and promote safer products for families. Behind the scenes, our testing journey has been complex. The product in question was sent to our trusted third-party lab in September 2024. That period was challenging; we received over 60 lab reports, many of which failed to meet the stringent detection thresholds set by the Baby Food Safety Act of 2021. Our previous results showed remarkably low levels of metals, aligning with our safety standards, but the September batch revealed inconsistencies.

In response, we arranged for a re-test in October, which was offered free of charge by the same lab network. Unfortunately, delays persisted through November and December, and the re-test results were never delivered. We later learned that some samples may have been inadvertently discarded instead of re-analyzed, which explained the missing data. This setback prompted us to seek a more reliable laboratory capable of consistently meeting our strict detection thresholds.

Our Lead Safe Mama team conducted interviews with various labs during December through February. Finally, in March 2025, we dispatched a new batch to a different, more precise lab. The latest lab report, included below, demonstrates significantly lower detection limits for Lead, Cadmium, and Mercury, confirming the product’s safety.
