STEP 2 : CONVERTING THE COPPER TUBING INTO A COIL
Begin by filling the entire length of the copper tubing with fine sand. Ensure that the sand is packed tightly, filling all cavities to provide rigidity. Seal both ends of the tube securely with caps or cloth to prevent sand leakage. Using a vice and a pipe of suitable diameter, gently bend the tubing around the pipe to form a smooth, even loop. It is crucial to flatten the sides of the coil slightly to ensure stability and uniformity, while avoiding sharp bends that could damage the tubing. The embedded sand acts as a support, preventing kinks and deformities during bending. After shaping, carefully remove all sand from the tubing, rinsing thoroughly with water until no residue remains, ensuring the interior is clear for optimal airflow and fuel vapor movement. Proper cleaning of the interior is vital to prevent blockages that could hinder performance.
STEP 3 : MARKING THE COIL AGAINST THE JAR
With the copper coil shaped and cleaned, mark its position against the canning jar to determine the appropriate length for insertion. Use a marker or pen to trace the coil’s outline onto the jar, then cut the excess coil legs to ensure the coil fits snugly inside the jar, approximately three-quarters of the way down. Additionally, drill a small vent hole down the center of the coil loop using the smallest suitable drill bit. STEP 4 : DRILL HOLES FOR THE COIL

STEP 5 : INSERTING THE WICK MATERIAL
Take your chosen wick cloth—made of fibrous, heat-resistant material—and thread it through the holes in the copper coil. Twist and pack the wick tightly to ensure good contact with the fuel source, facilitating efficient capillary action. Once the wick is securely inserted, pour a measured amount of Isopropyl Rubbing Alcohol into the jar, taking care to avoid spillage. Seal the jar tightly with the lid containing the coil assembly, ensuring an airtight closure. For added safety and cleanliness, wipe down the exterior of the coil with a small amount of rubbing alcohol. This step removes any residual dirt or excess fuel, promoting cleaner combustion and reducing smoke during initial operation.
STEP 6 : PRIMING AND IGNITING THE STOVE
To prepare the stove for its inaugural burn, first heat the copper coil using a propane torch. Hold the flame close to the coil and gently heat until the alcohol vaporizes, igniting a steady flame. Allow the stove to burn undisturbed for approximately four to five minutes to stabilize the combustion process. During this initial operation, some smoke or odor may be noticeable—this is normal and will diminish after a few minutes. Observe the flame closely, adjusting the wick or fuel level if necessary for optimal performance.
