He’s joking, but the point behind the joke is that growing cannabis can be a satisfying and fun hobby. If you find it so, then time flies by and the amount you spend is irrelevant in the same way people never mind spending time on favorite hobbies. Alternately, if you don’t find growing an enjoyable hobby, the time spent will seem longer than it actually is.

That said, a lot of factors go into growing indoors. While collectively they are not necessarily all that time consuming, your indoor grow will need more tending and “baby sitting,” than a typical outdoor grow. Mitch goes into more details in the video, however, you should plan to, at minimum, check in on your indoor grow and monitor it daily. Now this might only take you ten minutes a day to accomplish, but it still must be done daily.
Mitch stresses that is the minimum amount of time you would want to spend on the grow. But the bottom line is, you don’t have to spend a lot of time on the grow, but you do ned to spend time on the grow often, as in daily. You might get away with missing a rare day here and there, but this should be the exception, not the rule.
