Gripper Pipe by Chamelon Glass – Review

Chameleon Glass’ Gripper Pipe has quickly become my favorite day-to-day pipe.  I like it because it is large, sturdy, doesn’t roll when placed on a table, and it delivers a LARGE smooth hit.  But beyond all this, there are some unique features that make this pipe different.  Chameleon Glass specifically designed it for this with hand issues like arthritis or other limiting hand mobility issues.

The pipe is super easy to grip, hence the moniker.  It features ridged sides that keep it from slipping, and an elevated carb hole on the end.  Put this together and you have a pipe that’s easy to hold and smoke out of, using just one hand.

Another unusual feature of this beautiful pipe is that it is made with Chameleon’s color changing glass.  New, it starts out a clear, somewhat milky color.  As you smoke out of it, it will slowly change to light amber, and then a deep blue/purple.  This will take several days or even weeks, depending on how often you smoke.  When you clean the pipe, it goes back to its original clear color and you can start the process all over again.

I also love that, like Chameleon Glass products, the Gripper pipe is strong and sturdy.  I am not saying you should drop the pipe on hard floors as each drop puts tiny micro-cracks in the glass, and it will eventually break but I have dropped mine several times and it still survives.  The point being that Chameleon Glass makes extremely high quality glass.
